New App Makes Mobile Security Monitoring Even Easier

The integration of IP cameras with video monitoring control panels and mobile devices is making monitoring facility security easier, more efficient, and more intuitive than ever. With its Remote Security Control app for its B series Intrusion Control Panels, Bosch Security Systems allows for remote monitoring of real time feeds from IP cameras via a mobile device.

This capability is enabled by the integration of Bosch’s IP cameras with its B Series Control Panels. This integration permits the two components to communicate with each other and take action without the need for human guidance. Detection of motion on the IP cameras activates points on the panel. Likewise, panel events (such as the detection of a security event via another camera) can trigger movements of other local cameras to capture the event. All the while, this footage can be live streamed from the IP cameras via Bosch’s mobile app for its control panel. “The solution is unique in that there is no additional hardware, cloud or video management applications required.”

Additional capabilities of the mobile app include the ability to arm security systems remotely, in addition to other components such as lights. The app can be used over a data network or Wi-Fi, and is available for iOS and Android mobile devices.
